Billion Oyster Project: Homepage
Our Mission
The Curriculum and Community Enterprise for Restoration Science (CCERS) group is a coalition of organizations aimed at increasing student and teacher interest and awareness in STEM content knowledge, career pathways, and interest in restoring the health of New York New Jersey Harbor. The Billion Oyster Project Curriculum and Community Enterprise for Restoration Science (BOPCCERS) is currently engaged in a muti-phase NSF funded project consisting of pillars of student learning and teacher training in direct collaboration with STEM professionals.
The Harbor is a world-class public space. CCERS partner members aim to provide New Yorkers with a sense of stewardship over their Harbor, and to provide a replicable framework for other organizations to lead successful educational projects in their own communities.
